Founder and Principal Architect of IFA Architectural Design Studio

Mark Trance is the Founder and Principal Architect of IFA Architectural Design Studio, based in Manila, Philippines. He is also a registered Architect in the State of Texas (USA) and the Philippines with 25 years of experience in K12, Higher Ed, Mixed-use, Urban Planning, and Mission Critical Facilities in the United States, Asia, Europe, and the Middle East. Early in his career, he was heavily involved with community-building programs and the school outreach project of the AIA, promoting architecture awareness and its impact on the future of the built environment. He was named Young Professional Awardee by the American Institute of Architects Fort Worth Chapter. After completing his Master of Architecture in Architectural Design at the Bartlett, University College of London in 2020, he continued his work in Singapore before returning to his hometown in Manila. Mark currently leads a group of local architects in his practice to deliver comprehensive and integrated solutions to his global clients.
In his own time, he still pursues his passion researching sustainable, resilient, and innovative designs that are impactful, promote justice, and human dignity. With the aid of new technology and digital computation, his goal is to help shape the next evolution of the construction industry and make architecture accessible to all.
